Calibration & evaluation reports
Calibration study findings and quality assessment results, with the test conditions, reference sources, uncertainty and limits needed to interpret them.
Solution 01
Optical sensor calibration and independent validation to establish how well your sensor or data product performs and whether it meets your project's requirements.
The challenge
A nominal resolution or accuracy specification does not describe performance under every acquisition and terrain condition. Sensor evaluation and product acceptance need suitable reference data, comparable measurements and a clear account of uncertainty.
Our approach
We develop optical sensor calibration and validation studies around your sensor, product and application. Our work connects sensor-model assessment, reference data, geometric assessment and multi-source comparison in a documented workflow.
Example deliverables
The scope is agreed for each project and can include the following outputs.
Calibration study findings and quality assessment results, with the test conditions, reference sources, uncertainty and limits needed to interpret them.
Prepared reference measurements and supporting metadata, with their suitability and independence assessed for the validation task.
Documented calibration procedures, comparison methods and evaluation criteria, with recommendations for further adjustment or assessment.
Repeatable data preparation, calibration and evaluation steps, including agreed scripts or tools and documentation.
Methods & data
Calibration characterises sensor behaviour and may support adjustments to relevant sensor models. Validation assesses the resulting data or products against independent reference data. We establish the available sensor information and evaluation criteria during scoping.
Studies may combine satellite or aerial imagery, elevation models, ground measurements and existing geospatial reference data. We check coordinate systems, acquisition dates, spatial sampling and reference quality before interpreting differences.
A meaningful assessment distinguishes sensor or product errors from changes in the scene and limitations in the reference itself.
Suitable projects
Reference coverage, access rights and acquisition conditions determine which questions a study can resolve.
